Cookie Policy.
Last updated: 4 May 2026
This policy explains what cookies and similar technologies we use on avilys.co, what they do, and how to control them. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy, which covers personal data more broadly.
01
What cookies are.
Cookies are small text files that websites place on your device when you visit them. They let the site remember information about your visit — like your preferences, what pages you’ve seen, or whether you’re logged in.
Most modern websites use cookies. Some are essential to making the site work. Others help measure usage or show relevant ads. We use them for both reasons, and we want you to be able to make informed choices about which ones you accept.
This policy uses “cookies” as a general term, but it also covers similar technologies like web beacons, pixels, and local storage — all of which work similarly to cookies.
02
The four categories we use.
We group cookies into four categories based on what they do. The cookie banner that appears on your first visit lets you accept or reject each category individually (except strictly necessary cookies, which the site needs to function).
Cookies required for basic site operation — security, session management, form submissions. These can’t be turned off because the site won’t work without them. They don’t track you across other websites.
Cookies that remember your preferences and choices — like which cookies you’ve accepted. These improve your experience but aren’t essential.
Cookies that help us understand how visitors use the site — which pages get read, where people drop off, what’s working. We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) for this. The data is aggregated and we don’t use it to identify individual visitors.
Cookies set by advertising platforms (Meta and Google) that let us show relevant ads to people who’ve visited the site, and measure whether those ads led to enquiries. These can be turned off without affecting site functionality.
03

How to control cookies.
On our site
The first time you visit avilys.co, a cookie banner appears asking which categories you accept. You can accept all, reject non-essential, or customise your choices.
To change your preferences later, click the cookie settings link in our footer at any time.
In your browser
You can also control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers let you:
- See what cookies are stored on your device
- Delete cookies (individually or all at once)
- Block cookies from specific sites or all sites
- Get notifications when a site tries to set a cookie
Browser instructions:
Note: blocking strictly necessary cookies may break parts of the site (you may not be able to submit forms or stay logged in to WP Admin).
Opting out of advertising cookies specifically
To opt out of advertising cookies across many sites at once:
- Google Ads: visit Google Ads Settings
- Meta (Facebook/Instagram): manage ad preferences in your Facebook account settings
- Industry-wide opt-out: visit YourOnlineChoices.com (EU) or DAA WebChoices (US)

About third-party cookies.
Some of the cookies above are set by third parties (Google, Meta, ActiveCampaign, etc.) rather than by us directly. We don’t control these cookies and we don’t have access to the data they collect — the third parties do.
We’ve chosen these tools because they’re industry-standard and provide important functionality (analytics, advertising effectiveness, customer relationship management). But you should know that when you accept their cookies, you’re also agreeing to their data practices.
Each third-party tool’s privacy policy is linked in the table above. We encourage reviewing them if you want to understand exactly what data is being collected.
06
Changes to this policy.
We update this policy whenever we add, remove, or change the cookies and tracking tools used on avilys.co. When we do, we’ll update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
For material changes — like adding a new advertising platform — we’ll re-trigger the cookie banner so you can review and update your consent.
07
